  1. Nobody knows the city like a taxi. To portray the largest City in South Africa, we followed a taxi driver as he explains the pros and cons of his city, Johannesburg.

This was our entry for a Guinness film competition.

  3. We introduce you to our brothers “Sartists” a duo, Wanda and Kabelo.

As the season changes to winter we decided to tell their story through our photography.

Their inspiration is taken from 1930’s Great Depression. The times of slavery and economic difficulties for most communities. Where denim, was the only clothing accessible for farmer workers.

  4. We as I See A Different You encompass ourselves with the rich history of South Africa through the cultures and documenting of our diverse nation. Our look was inspired by the Pantsula Era which originated in the townships of South Africa during the reign of the apartheid government.
The Pantsula movement which comprised of a distinct style, dress and dance, developed into a form of social commentary and expression for black South Africans and has since undergone several transformations with the country’s change in political tides.
Originally Pantsula’s wore matching outfits for performances which represented unity and self-identity amongst the young men in the group in a time of social division. We fell in love with the style and the culture which lead to us documenting ourselves as Pantsula’s of the Apartheid era during the 1950’s and 1960’s. We morphed the style in order to capture our individual expressions and personalities to match our story.
